The Agricultural Research Information System (ARIS) (now Agricultural Knowledge Management Unit – AKMU) is being implemented as part of the ICAR nation-wide network programme at National Research Centre on Meat, Hyderabad
Major activities
- Creation of meat and meat products information base with user friendly modern information communication technology gadgets.
- Training on ICT initiatives
- Production of educational video film on meat products, meat processing technology and consumer preference.
- Designing of effective training modules to butchers and meat industry personnel.
- The proposed institute project entitled “Developing Training Modules and Awareness Programmes to improve the Meat Sector Development” which include interactive multimedia module preparation, educational video production with relevant ICT training module preparation.
- NRCM has quite a lot meat products and meat processing technologies. These technologies transferred effectively through user friendly modern technology gadgets like, Interactive Multimedia Compact Disc, E-books, Web modules, Education Video production, Broadcast audio production, Digitalized visual aids for better technology diffusion process. Regular ICT training to butchers and gross root veterinary officers and extension agents will enhance the transfer of technology process. Web – education process will solve the information updating process of technical, scientific person who all are engaged in meat sector.
